Conceived as a large sundial, the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint has become an emblematic monument of Andorra. It is located on the Peyreguils peak, at 2,701 m above sea level and just a few metres from the geographical division between France and Andorra. The Tristaina Solar Viewpoint is formed by a suspended metal sphere 25 metres in diameter and 1.25 metres wide suspended over the mountain and with unbeatable views of the Tristaina Lakes and the Ordino Valley. The perspective is truly spectacular!
To enjoy these views you must first take the Tristaina Cable Car and then the Creussans Chairlift from the Ordino-Arcalís ski resort, a journey that takes a little over 30 minutes between both lifts. Once you reach the top, you have to take a mountain path of about 15-20 minutes walking until you reach the viewpoint. The path is fully signposted, easily accessible and open to the public in the summer months.
It is essential to be well equipped with mountain footwear and bring a jacket on days with cooler temperatures.
